New Beginnings: Audition Notice

Thank You 5 Productions invites you to submit for our upcoming cabaret at the Mill Hill Playhouse in Trenton, NJ. We are seeking vibrant, talented vocalists to perform for one weekend only, July 18-20, 2025. Auditioners must be 17+ years of age and able to provide transportation to the performance venue, as well as off site rehearsals that will take place in either Princeton, NJ or Newtown, PA. 

Singers should submit a video of themselves performing a full song of their choice with an instrumental track. Please select a musical theatre song that fits the theme of New Beginnings. During your slate, feel free to share a little bit about yourself and your song choice. The event will have an emcee, but we are looking for charismatic performers to connect with the music and the audience. You will be performing as yourself, not a character, so show us who you are as a vocalist and an individual! As you will be singing the song completely out of context, you don’t need to conform to the gender, age or body type associated with the character who originally performed the song. However, please be mindful of cultural and racial considerations when selecting a song.

NOTE: If cast in the cabaret, you may be asked to sing the song you submit or a different song that also fits your voice and personality.

The cabaret setlist will include solos, duets and small group numbers. All performers will also learn 2-3 full ensemble pieces. Recordings will be provided for home practice and we will hold several in-person rehearsals to work together.

Rehearsals will take place during the months of June and July and the rehearsal schedule will be based on everyone’s conflicts.  All performers must be available for the week leading up to the cabaret.
